FINALLY!!! Thank You Lord! I found an Audiologist, Dr. Inman, who knows "The Best Practices" approach to hearing health! She uses REM (Real Ear Measurement) technology to test and fit hearing aids to your unique physical ear structure. For the past three years I have been seeing a different Audiologist who didn't use the REM test but said they did. Ignorant me didn't know the difference. I did internet research and found Dr. Inman as one of the highly recommended Audiologist of the HearingUp Network who use REM as part of Best Practices. After seeing Dr. Inman and having her explain and watching her use these techniques I am totally impressed with her and plan to have her as my new found Audiologist. I can't speak highly enough of her and her practice. My second visit she tested using REM and readjusted the hearing aids I've been wearing for three years now and what a big difference it made. I can finally hear correctly with these three year old hearing aids. Do your research. Tiffany Inman is excellent at what she does, she has Tinnitus herself so she understands fully what you're going through she has the science, advice, and all the equipment to help you. Bridget at the front desk is very nice, she makes you feel at home as soon as you walk in the door.

It’s never easy admitting that you need hearing aids. It’s not a decision you take lightly but when I went to your facility, the staff there was extremely friendly made me feel at home the whole Experience was great always there to answer my questions. I can highly recommend this facility.
I can’t say enough about this amazing practice. I was referred by a friend who had a great experience as well. This was a “second opinion” visit for me and a first time visit for my husband as well. I had been to another audiologist where I felt as though the only thing they cared about was “selling” me a hearing aid.
I was a bit nervous going to this appointment because I just needed someone to explain what was going on with my hearing. I am only 50, and I needed my tinnitus situation to be properly diagnosed and explained to me. Mine is quite bad, and have been suffering from anxiety from the “noise” I constantly hear.
From the moment I walked through the door and was greeted by their amazing receptionist and cozy environment, I was put at ease.
ALL of their staff were welcoming and nothing but smiles.
Dr. Maxwell took a lot of time with me and my husband as well, explaining the tests he was giving and the outcomes of those tests.
I discovered that I have a significant amount of hearing loss but also bad tinnitus.
He explained my options for the tinnitus, as there isn’t a cure but there are methods and devices to help manage it and make it more tolerable, especially on bad days.
He was very thorough in explaining my options so I could pick the right one for me. He was very empathetic and very knowledgeable. I also met Dr. Inman, and she was very sweet and kind and I’m sure if I see her in the future my experience will be just as wonderful.
I would refer this amazing practice to any and everyone that needs help with their hearing or with tinnitus.

I have been wearing hearing aids for many years and needed a new pair.. I decided to go to Inman Audiology after many recommendations from others I went in a few weeks ago and met with Dr. Tim Maxwell. He was such a pleasure to work with. We decided on a pair and I returned after they came in. After a few adjustments they are very comfortable and are very clear sounding to me. I almost forget that I am wearing them. Had to find a hearing specialist that understood my needs. Not just you are old and it is normal to have degraded hearing. They did a complete hearing test and adjusted the programming of my hearing aids to match better than ever. Very happy with the first encounter.

They are the best. I have disposable hearing aids. When the battery dies I take them out and throw them away. I usually get three months out of a pair. I keep them in day and night for three months. Inman has been taking great care of my hearing and they are always so warm and welcoming.
Dr Maxwell has a very nice clean office. His receptionist is very friendly and efficient. Dr Maxwell performed the tests needed. And was very pleasant to talk to. I would recommend him to anybody that needs their hearing checked.

Tim Maxwell, Au.D. This "doctor" completely misdiagnosed a very simple condition in an elderly patient that was brought to Inman by myself thinking that I was bringing this elderly friend of mine to a VERY reputable place to see if there was any salvageable means of hearing for him. Upon Tim's "inspection", they stated that the gentleman had impacted ear wax in his left ear that would prevent them from conducting the hearing test. I asked Tim if they could do mechanical removal (with instruments so that we might be able to proceed with conducting the hearing test that day as I had driven that man quite a ways to take this man to this fancy office off of Big Beaver with single serving coffee machines in their waiting area and taken off a day from work to attend this appointment with my elderly friend) Dr. Tim was not willing to attempt as he said "even though we can; we don't usually do that here in office" he went on to state he was afraid he could damage his ear drum with his attempt. I was disappointed; but stated I would find an ENT that would clear the ear and rectify the condition. I drove this man from quite a ways because I believed I was bringing him to a fantastic audiology establishment that would be second to none.
"DR." Tim looked into this left ear with an otoscope and told me (the elderly man's friend) a diagnosis story about hardened ear wax and how in the "doctor's" exact words this man's ear wax situation was "pretty gnarly" and had been impacted for years. Well, Tim must have been in a great hurry to get the visibly poor and unfortunate man out of the practice - because he did not see that this poor man had the silicone bud of an old hearing aid stuck down in the auditory canal !!!!!!!!!! This was extracted 1 week later - as it took me this long to secure an appointment with an ENT. The ENT that made the discovery and recovered the old ear bud stated and I agree with them ; "This man who examined this patient previously should not be licensed to practice medicine of any kind to be this haphazard in their inspection"
Just remember the moral to this story - just because you find a doctor that practices out of a fancy office - this does not speak to the quality of their service or personnel. And also just remember that 50% of the doctors that are out there graduated in the bottom 50% of their class.
And Tim, I want you to think long and hard about the effort you put forth for this elderly man, and the poor and unfortunate clients that may cross that threshold, it can be very easy indeed for you to brush off those that cannot defend themself. By an extra 5 minutes of simplistic effort on your part, it would have secured the discovery of what was REALLY in this man's ear. It also would have avoided further prolonging of his discomfort he had described to me that was in that ear for longer than he could remember. Finally, it would have secured the opportunity to test that day which was the root cause for this visit. I took off work to bring this man to your office and I severely regret it. I specifically posed the question to you; "how soon after the ear is open can you test"; and your reply was "as soon as the ear is open you can test auditory response" All this could have been solved that morning by 8:20AM.
Your service and diagnosis ability is akin to a drive through oil change establishment that doesn't put the drain plug back in the engine and blows up the motor. Yeesh!
10/14/2025 UPDATE: In response to Inman attempting to "cover" for Tim, your practice actually did not see or correctly identify any foreign object in the patient's ear canal nor did Tim refer the patient to an ENT. Tim was intent there was merely excessive ear wax, and to use the DEBROX for 1 week followed by a vacuum method of extraction. It was I that sought the ENT.
I understand your attempted cover for your businesses' sake though.

Dr. Inman is excellent, compassionate and takes time with each patient. I’m a new patient and have been having issues with my hearing aids. Each week Bridget has gone above and beyond to get me in on an emergent nature. Being in the medical field I can tell you - you won’t find many offices and physicians willing to take the time and show you how important you are.

So after 3 years of trying to find someone to fix my hearing aids (they were not working AT ALL) not being able to hear hardly anyone, staying away from functions because I was tired of saying what, I can't hear you, I finally found this Dr office online made a call, and went to see them the next day, 5 minutes later my hearing aids are working, come to find out all it was is that the filter needed changed and boom I'm hearing again, love these guys so nice, friendly, helpful and kind, they are the only ones that EVEN AGREED to look and test them and send them out if needed. Had any of the other numerous hearing clinics and Dr offices that I called and went to see done that, I would not of went for 3 yrs of no hearing! What this Dr office DID, That the others DID NOT speaks volumes of this office! Thank you how nice to hear again!
Everybody at the office was very courteous specially Dr Maxwell. He did a great job explaining my hearing loss and did not push me to buy new hearing aids immediately. They sent me home with pricing information to review and also told me about a 30 day trial.

This is a happy office! Everyone I worked with was pleasant, helpful,, and capable.
I drove nearly an hour to this clinic, since they are one of the few “Hearing Up” providers in the area. They “follow comprehensive best practices” to accurately test hearing, select the right devices, and fit them properly.
This was my second set of hearing aids, so I knew what to expect. The fitting was much more sophisticated than I’ve ever experienced. Then I was walked through cleaning them, and all the various options in the iPhone app.

I visited Inman Audiology for testing of my hearing, assessment of whether I would benefit from hearing aids and, if so, recommendations of which aids would be most helpful for me. From my initial phone contact for new patient intake everyone I had contact with at Inman was polite, professional and showed genuine interest in my hearing issues and how Inman could help me. Dr. Timothy Maxwell analyzed my hearing tests, made my diagnosis and explained what the hearing aid options are. He was extremely patient in answering my questions and never seemed to be in a hurry to “move me along”. I made the decision to purchase hearing aids but did not feel any pressure to do so. I can recommend without hesitation that anyone who is experiencing issues with their hearing include Inman Audiology in your decision making process of how best to address your hearing issues.

Dr. Inman immediately put herself at my level compared to most Dr.’s give off a stuffy (I’m a doctor) persona .
After years and years and years of getting a run around with ENT doctors, I finally found the Dr (person) that I’ve been looking for to treat my inner ear issue. After trying drops, resetting the crystals , blah blah blah, Dr.Inman listened to my past, my symptoms and explained in very simple terms of what has been happening and what her plan will be.
